Troubleshooting
No Picture
Power indicator does not light up
- Check whether the power cord is connected properly.
- Turn on the main power switch on the back of the monitor.
- Touch
. - Turn off the main power switch on the back of the monitor, and then turn it on again a few minutes later.
Power indicator is lighting white
- Increase the adjustment values for "Brightness," "Contrast" and "Gain" in the Setting menu (see Color).
Power indicator is lit orange
- Switch the input signal.
- In the Setting menu, set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
- Move the mouse or press any key on the keyboard.
- Check whether the PC is turned on.
- Turn off the main power switch on the back, wait until the power indicator light turns off, and then try turning the switch back on.
- Try disabling the PC's fast startup function.
- Try performing a power reset on the PC.
The message "No Signal" appears on the screen
Example:
- The message shown above may appear as some PCs do not output the signal immediately after power-on.
- Check whether the PC is turned on.
- Check whether the signal cable is connected properly.
- Switch the input signal.
- Turn off the main power switch on the back of the monitor, and then turn it on again.
- Try setting "Auto Input Detection" in the Setting menu to "Off" and switching the input signal manually (see Auto Input Detection ).
- In the Setting menu, try setting "Signal Format" - "USB-C" to "USB 2.0Ìý(480Mbps)" (see Signal Format - USB-C).
- Try disabling the PC's fast startup function.
- Try performing a power reset on the PC.
The message "Signal Error" appears on the screen
Example:
- Check whether the connected cable is a signal cable recommended by ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ.
- Check whether the PC is configured to meet the resolution and vertical scan frequency requirements of the monitor (see Supported Resolutions).
- Reboot the PC.
The "DP Unsupported" message appears on the screen
Example:
- Check whether the connected cable is a signal cable recommended by ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ.
- Check whether the USB-C of the connected device supports video signal output (DisplayPort Alt Mode). For details, contact the manufacturer of the device.
- Connect a DisplayPort cable or an HDMI cable.
- In the Setting menu, try setting "Signal Format" - "USB-C" to "USB 2.0Ìý(480Mbps)" (see Signal Format - USB-C).
Imaging Problems
The screen is too bright or too dark
- Adjust "Brightness" or "Contrast" in the Setting menu (see Color). (The LCD monitor backlight has a limited life span. If the screen becomes dark or begins to flicker, contact your local ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ representative.)
- If the screen is too bright, try setting "Auto EcoView" to "On." The monitor detects the ambient brightness to adjust the screen brightness automatically (see Auto EcoView).
The brightness changes on its own
- Try setting "Auto EcoView" to "Off" (see Auto EcoView).
- Try setting "EcoView Optimizer 2" to "Off" (see EcoView Optimizer 2).
Characters and images are blurred
- Check whether the PC is configured to meet the resolution and vertical scan frequency requirements of the monitor (see Supported Resolutions). For information on how to change your PC settings, refer to our web site (www.eizoglobal.com ).
- Try setting the magnification of display on the OS to "100%." When using multiple monitors, try setting the display magnification to "100%" on all monitors.
Afterimages appear
- Afterimages are particular to LCD monitors. Avoid displaying the same image for a long time.
- Use the screensaver or sleep function to avoid displaying the same image for an extended period of time.
- An afterimage may appear even after a short time period has elapsed depending on the displayed image. In such cases, change the image or keep the power turned off for several hours.
- Check if an interlaced signal is being input.
Green / red / blue / white / dark dots remain on the screen
- This is due to LCD panel characteristics and not a malfunction.
Interference patterns or pressure marks remain on the LCD panel
- Leave the monitor with a white or black screen. The symptom may disappear.
Noise appears on the screen
- Check whether the connected cable is a signal cable recommended by ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ.
- In the Setting menu, try setting "Overdrive" to "Off" (see Advanced Settings - Overdrive).
- When inputting HDCP system signals, normal images may not be displayed immediately.
- When inputting an HDMI signal, try changing "Signal Format" - "HDMI 1" / "HDMI 2" (see Signal Format - HDMI 1 / HDMI 2).
The positions of windows and icons are shifted when the monitor is turned off/on or when restored from standby (power saving) mode
- In the Setting menu, set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
The color shown on the screen is not correct
- Try changing "Input Color Format" in the Setting menu (see Input Color Format).
Images are not displayed over the entire area of the screen
- In the Setting menu, try changing the "Picture Expansion" setting (see Picture Expansion).
- Check whether the resolution settings of the PC match the resolution of the monitor.
- When inputting an HDMI signal, try changing "Signal Format" - "HDMI 1" / "HDMI 2" (see Signal Format - HDMI 1 / HDMI 2).
Other Problems
The Setting menu does not appear
- Check whether the operation switch lock function is enabled (see Locking Operation Switches).
Cannot select items in the Setting menu
- Items that are displayed with gray text cannot be changed.
- "Color" items cannot be changed in some color modes. Setting the color mode to "User 1" or "User 2" will allow you to change all items (see Color).
No audio output
- Check whether the volume is set to "0."
- Check the PC and audio playback software to see whether they are configured correctly.
- If using PbyP display, check the audio setting in "PbyP Settings" (see Switching the Audio).
- In the Setting menu, set "Speaker" to "On" (see Speaker).
USB peripheral devices connected to the monitor do not work / Cannot use the Docking Station Function
- Check whether the USB cable is correctly connected between the PC and the USB upstream port on the monitor.
- When multiple PCs are connected to one monitor, check whether the correct USB upstream port is enabled (see Share USB Devices Between Two PCs).
- Check whether the peripheral device is correctly connected to the USB downstream port on the monitor.
- Try using a different USB downstream port on the monitor.
- Try using a different USB port on the PC.
- Check whether the device drivers of the peripheral devices are up-to-date.
- Reboot the PC.
- When "Compatibility Mode" is set to "Off" in the Setting menu and the monitor power is turned off, devices connected to the USB downstream port are not operational. Set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
- In the following cases, the LAN port cannot be used.
- When "Ethernet" in the Setting menu is set to "Off." Set "Ethernet" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Ethernet).
- Depending on the Ethernet driver, the following issues may occur. Update to the latest driver.
- ・LAN communication speed does not reach 2.5 Gbps (remains around 1 Gbps)
- ・MAC Address Pass Through does not function
- Note that these issues may also be caused by factors other than the driver.
- When a USB-C connection is not used. This feature is not available when connected via USB-B.
- When the operating system of the PC is not supported (see Network).
- When the operating system of the PC does not support MAC Address Pass Through.
- If the peripheral devices work correctly when they are directly connected to the PC, contact your local ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ representative.
- Depending on the USB host controller you are using, the connected USB device may not be recognized properly. Update to the latest USB driver provided by the manufacturer, or connect the monitor to the USB 2.0 port.
- Check the PC's BIOS (UEFI) setting for USB when using Windows. (See the manual of the PC for details.)
- Check if the operating system of the PC is up-to-date.
- If you are using macOS Ventura (13), select "Allow" in the "Allow accessory to connect?" message window that appears when connecting via USB.
- In the Setting menu, try setting "Signal Format" - "USB-C" to "USB 2.0Ìý(480Mbps)" (see Signal Format - USB-C).
- Turn off the main power switch on the back, wait until the power indicator light turns off, and then try turning the switch back on.
- Try disabling the PC's fast startup function.
- Try performing a power reset on the PC.
Power indicator is flashing orange and white
- This issue may occur when the PC is connected to the DisplayPort connector. Use a signal cable recommended by us for the connection. Turn the monitor off and on.
- Check the connection and condition of the USB peripheral devices connected to the monitor.
- Check that the power required for the USB peripheral device connected to the monitor does not exceed the power that can be supplied from the USB port of the monitor.
- Turn off the main power switch on the back of the monitor, and then turn it on again.
- If the monitor is connected to a laptop with a USB-C cable, connect an AC adapter to the laptop.
Even when operating a mouse or keyboard connected to the USB downstream port of the monitor, the PC does not return from sleep
- In the Setting menu, set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
The monitor does not supply power (USB Power Delivery) to the PC
- Check whether the PC has the specifications to operate with a 94 W power supply.
- For a 94 W power supply, use the following USB cables:
- CC150SS81G-5A or CC150SS81GW-5A
- CC100
The message "Changes to this settingÌýmay increase power consumption." appears on the screen
Example:
This is a message that will only be displayed during the initial setup when using a function that may potentially increase power consumption. Select "OK" to proceed to the next step.
